Step 1: Design Consultation
Every custom jewelry journey begins with a personalized design consultation. This is where we listen closely to your ideas, preferences, and inspirations. Whether you have a specific design in mind or need guidance to articulate your vision, we are here to assist you.
Step 2: Design Renderings
After the initial consultation, our skilled designers will create detailed digital renderings of your jewelry concept using advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. These renderings are meticulously crafted to visualize every aspect of your piece, including shape, proportions, gemstone placement, and intricate details.
Step 3: Printing The CAD in Wax
Once you approve the design renderings, we move to the next phase: transforming the digital design into a physical wax model. This is achieved through 3D printing technology, where the CAD file is used to create an exact replica of your jewelry piece in wax. The wax model allows you to see and feel the dimensions and contours of the design before proceeding to the final casting.
Step 4: Final Casting
With the wax model approved, we proceed to the casting stage. Our master jewelers use the art of lost-wax casting, a precise and intricate method that ensures the integrity and accuracy of your design. This involves creating a mold around the wax model, melting the wax to leave a negative space, and then pouring molten metal (such as gold, silver, or platinum) into the mold.
Step 5: Setting Gemstones and Final Casting
After the metal has cooled and solidified, the casting is carefully removed from the mold. Our jewelers then begin the meticulous process of cleaning, polishing, and refining the metal to achieve a flawless finish. If your design includes gemstones and/or diamonds, they are expertly set into the piece at this stage.
Step 6: Quality Assurance and Presentation
Before your custom jewelry is ready to be worn and cherished, it undergoes rigorous quality assurance checks. Each piece is inspected to ensure it meets our highest standards of craftsmanship and durability. Once approved, your custom jewelry is beautifully packaged and presented to you, ready to be enjoyed for generations to come.
